Despite the calls made by one Mr Bala from PTAD on 30th July 2025 requesting for the confirmation of my account details to him of which I did. But up till now, no correction is made. PTAD applied 2012 PHCN salary structure for the computation in 2023 and wrongly compute my pension with grade level 8 step 11 instead of my grade level 8 steps 13 at my retirement incremental approved date of January 1, 2012. Level 8 steps 11 are not in my retirement details. Kindly help me with the corrections.
ANIAGOLU: Dear Omobola, I am Aniagolu. It is exactly four months now that I started having contacts with you on my pension problems. l am not happy that my complaints have not been attended to. I know this because l have been reading PTAD news on Wednesdays in The Nation newspapers. I have two complaints. One is that l was gravely undervalued in the 2019 re-computation of monthly pension. Sir, through mathematical error, my annual pension was crashed down to N12,437 from N28,266 total pensionable emolument. Sir, l served for 17 years and retired on grade level 07 step 4. When I compared this with another colleague who served for 17 years like me and retired on grade level 05 step 1, the difference was clear. I have other colleagues and references to make. My second demand is that l have not been paid a kobo since the September 2024 pension increase. What have l done. You replied my first letter and promised to send it to appropriate authorities. AJIO: Good day, your attempts aimed at addressing DBS pensioners’ complaints elucidated in The Nation newspaper are well appreciated. I think a quick action should be expedited on refund of wrongful deductions arising from computation project of July, 2022; lifting suspension of payment in respect of 27 months consequential pension adjustment, among other ongoing initiatives. The Executive Secretary, PT AD, Ms. Tolulope Abiodun Odunaiya, in The Nation Newspaper of Wednesday, 07: 01:2026 and 14:01:2026, remains seemingly incommunicado over unpaid 27months consequential payment adjustment (Circular SWC/S /O4/S.542/II/298 of 21st April, 2021). In a similar vein, she’s made no mention about Circular SWC/S.O4/S.557/171 of July, 2024, released in August, 2024, presupposed effective date for payment of N32000 minimum pension. We will like to hear from her. Thank you.

OKUNOLA: Good day, my name is Okunola. Has was abrogated by former President Olusegun Obasanjo who set up a panel for Nitel and Mtel retirees headed by Prince Bola Afoja in 2001, the panel recommend I0 years without any period of time. I and some others were paid five years pension due by BPE in 2007, 2009 and 20I0. I was employed on July 2, I979 and retired November I4, 1991 (12years). Kindly use your good office to see the Executive secretary of PTAD, Tolulope Odunaya to let us know what is delaying our pension. We did our verification since January 20I8 and we are yet to be put on pay roll. In view of the circular B633O4XIII-879 of June 29, I992 which says that any pensioner who served for less than I0 years as at march 31, 1977 or less than 15 years from April 1, 1977 to June 1, 1992 and less I0 years with effect from June 1, 1992 does not qualify for pension without a period of time which the circular stated, l and others were later paid five years pension due by BPE in 2007, 2009 and 20I0. Kindly help us.
OLAWUYI: Good day, my name is Olawuyi. I am a pensioner and I thank you for painstakingly finding solutions to pensioner’s problems in the country. I have been short paid since the payment of arrears of 20per cent pension increase. I have sent several email messages to PTAD without any response. My former pension was N25705.11. The 20per cent is N5141.02 so my new pension should be N30846.13. But I am being paid N26807.68. The difference of 4038.45 when multiplied by 14 months (September 2024-October 2025) will be a total of N56538.30. Kindly help me.
