Kano Humanitarian Commissioner Adamu Kibiya steps down

The Kano State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, has resigned from his position.

In a letter sent to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Kibiya stated that his resignation takes effect immediately, bringing to an end his service, which began on June 29, 2023.

He explained that the decision came after “careful and thoughtful consideration.”

According to him, the current situation had continued to limit his ability to carry out his duties effectively and had affected the smooth running of the office.

Even as he leaves office, Kibiya expressed gratitude to Governor Yusuf for giving him the opportunity to serve in the state government. He also appreciated the trust and confidence the governor placed in him during his time as commissioner.

“It has been an honour to contribute, in my capacity, to the humanitarian and social development objectives of the state,” he said.

Kibiya also thanked his colleagues, partners, and members of the public for their support and cooperation while he was in office.
He wished the Kano State Government success as it continues its efforts to improve the welfare and well-being of the people.
