French coach, Julien Mett, has said that Super Eagles player Akor Adams has impressed him with his performances so far at the Africa of Nations
He also said that Nigeria is the team ahead of their upcoming semifinal tie at Africa Cup of Nations.
The match is set for Wednesday night at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
Adams has been involved in four goals at Afcon 2025, a number that only four players have exceeded: his teammates Ademola Lookman with seven and Victor Osimhen with six, plus Brahim Diaz and Mohamed Salah with five each.
The Sevilla player has been a key man in the knockout rounds, he scored in Nigeria’s big win against Mozambique, and then scored again in their latest match against Algeria.
Mett praised Nigeria’s strong attacking play and thinks their good number of forwards gives them an advantage over Morocco’s Atlas Lions.
In quotes shared by Elbotola, he said, “Nigeria are the strongest in attack. They have more weapons in their attack, especially with players like Lookman and Osimhen, and also Chukwueze, who can come on as a substitute plus Akor Adams has been a surprise in this tournament.
“For me, Nigeria has more attacking choices, while Morocco keeps playing hard, but Brahim Diaz is really stand out, and when he comes off, you start wondering who will finish the chances for Morocco.
“There is a clear Moroccan strategy focused on keeping the ball high up the field.”
Before their big match against Morocco, the Super Eagles are likely to arrive in Rabat on Monday.
