Ojaja Pan Africa Limited, owned by Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has completed the redemption of its inaugural Commercial Paper issuance valued at ₦9.2 billion, reinforcing confidence in the company’s liquidity and credit strength.
The funds were raised under a duly registered ₦10 billion programme on the FMDQ Securities Exchange. Ojaja Pan Africa fully repaid ₦2.15 billion from Series 1, which matured on November 21, 2025, and ₦6.91 billion from Series 2, which matured on February 20, 2026. The obligations were settled using internally generated resources.
The redemption comes amid a challenging economic climate marked by high borrowing costs, with Nigeria’s monetary policy rate at 27 percent, making short-term financing expensive for many firms.
Acting Managing Director Dr. Ayobami Oyedare said the timely repayment reflects the company’s financial stability and disciplined planning.
“Meeting these obligations in full validates the trust placed in us by the investing public. With both maturities resolved, we are focused on leveraging the remaining resources from the programme to drive growth and expansion across Africa,” he said.
Comercio Partners Capital Limited served as Lead Financial Adviser and Arranger for the issuance and redemption.
Its Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Osho, described the transaction as a significant milestone, noting that the successful execution highlights the company’s operational strength and resilience despite tight economic conditions.
Beyond the financial milestone, Ojaja Pan Africa operates across multiple sectors including real estate, hospitality, agriculture, education, manufacturing and tourism, with investments aimed at job creation and economic development.
As Chairman and Group Chief Executive, Ogunwusi has promoted initiatives focused on industrial growth, tourism development, and local value creation. Through its projects and partnerships, the company continues to support efforts to diversify Nigeria’s economy and expand opportunities across key sectors.
