EPL: Pep Guardiola speaks on Maresca becoming next Man City boss

Pep Guardiola has responded to rumours about Enzo Maresca having initial talks to become next Manchester City manager.
The Spaniard, who addressed reporters ahead of Manchester City clash with Chelsea on Saturday said he knows nothing about the speculation.
There are reports that prior to his dismissal as Chelsea boss, Maresca had held talks with some clubs in the Premier League, including Manchester City to take charge of the Cityzens when Guardiola’s contract runs out
Guardiola has just one season left in his contract at Manchester City and there are indications the Spaniard could leave after the deal expires.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss also refused to comment on the rumours surrounding his own future at the Etihad Stadium.
As about Maresca having a talk with Man City hierarchy, the Spaniard said, “No idea. You have, I’m pretty sure, more info than me”.
Pep Guardiola on his future, “You want to fire me?! No, good. My salary is so high. So I have one more year on my contract.
“How can I give you an update about an opinion that I don’t know about this opinion – it’s just a rumour. So, I’m sorry, I’m not going to answer that”.
