EPL: Aina returns to action for Nottingham Forest after lengthy injury layoff 

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina made his long-awaited return to action in Nottingham Forest’s 3-1 to Aston Villa on Saturday.

It was Aina’s first appearance for Sean Dyche’s side since last August.

The 29-year-old picked up a hamstring injury while in action for Nigeria against South Africa on September 8, 2025.

The full-back featured from the start against Aston Villa at the Villa Park.

Aina was in action for 69th minute before he was replaced by Nicolo Savona

He has so far made four league appearances for Forest this season.
