There was a mild drama on the Senate floor on Tuesday as Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe made a U-turn and withdrew his earlier call for individual vote on the electronic transmission of election results.
DAILY POST reports that Abaribe earlier moved a motion that the senators should vote individually on the debate surrounding electronic transmission of election results.
Senate President Akpabio insisted that the senators vote, but Abaribe got up to say his motion for withdrawal needs no seconder.
After some seconds, Senate President Akpabio upheld Abaribe’s decision to withdraw his motion, where he asked all senators to vote individually on the clause mandating real-time electronic transmission of election results.
