A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Idris Kalgo, has said if former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, decides to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, the case against him will die down
Kalgo made this statement on Saturday when he appeared as a guest in an interview on Trust TV.
He was reacting to the incident that played out at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, where operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, attempted to arrest El-Rufai.
“If El-Rufai decides to join the APC now, the case will die. Just like that. The same thing goes to the former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami. Where is he now? He’s in detention.
“Like the case of former Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, it was after the case that he decided to join the APC.
“Technically as we speak, Okowa is a free man because he’s in APC. The only reason El-Rufai and Malami are being targeted is that both are in ADC,” he said.
