AFCON 2025: Bassey talks up ‘amazing’ Lookman after Super Eagles’ win over Mozambique 

Calvin Bassey has lauded his teammate, Ademola Lookman after the winger inspired the Super Eagles to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Mozambique, DAILY POST reports.

Lookman continued his impressive form at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with one goal and three assists against the Mambas.

The 28-year-old was also named Man of the Match for the second time in the competition.

Bassey recognised the Atalanta star’s contribution to the team’s successful outing.

“Yeah, he (Lookman) was good, he was amazing. I think he played with so much quality. You could have singled out any one of the boys,” Bassey told Soccernet.ng.

Lookman was named in the Team of the Group Stage.

The 28-year-old so far has eight goals involvements for the Super Eagles in Morocco.
