AFCON 2025: Super Eagles’ group opponent hit by allowance dispute

The Cranes of Uganda refused to train on Saturday as they protest the non-payment of their allowance, DAILY POST reports.

The players, according to reports, also want clarity on how much they will be earning at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

They are reportedly owed allowances from the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.

President of the Uganda Football Association, David Magogo has reportedly stepped in to resolve the situation.

Uganda will open their campaign against former champions, Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in Fès on Tuesday.

The Cranes will also face three-time champions Nigeria, and regional rivals, Tanzania in the same group.
