Real Madrid extends contract of Nigerian coach after successful season


Real Madrid World has extended the contract of Nigerian coach, Ayere Sylvester for another year after achieving huge success with the brand in his first spell.

The leading global football brand reached an agreement with the Nigerian after he served as assistant manager/coach in his first spell with the brand in Dubai, leading global programs and training of thousands of players around the world.

Speaking to newsmen, Ayere expressed his delight at the contract extension. “I feel great, the contract extension is a proof of competency, dedication and commitment. It’s a show of how far much impact I’ve made in the last year and the recognition it has brought.”

As part of his achievements in his last spell, Ayere Sylvester designed the training structure used by Real Madrid World, while organizing training programs for over five thousand players from different Nationalities around the world.

He was part of the Real Madrid legend initiative, having a one-on-one improvement session with three times Uefa Champions League winner with Real Madrid, Roberto Carlos.

The FA Level 3/UEFA B licensed coach started his international coaching career by joining Fleetwood United FC in Dubai second division as assistant coach while also working with United FC U-15 and managing the Fleetwood U-23 pathway to pro soccer squad. During his time there, Ayere helped Fleetwood United FC to being champions of Division two and gaining promotion into the first division, leading to his signing with Real Madrid.

Ayere further stated at how much he appreciates the opportunity to continue working with a brand as big as Real Madrid World.

“The extension is also an opportunity to continue to improve myself as a coach and continue working with the biggest football brand in the world and I’m excited about the contract extension. I hope to be able to achieve a lot more within this period as well and impact a lot more people.”

The Nigerian-born Dubai based coach had his humble beginnings in Nigeria, known as the proactive protagonist, he worked as head coach in Freiburgerweg FA, Oasis Ladies and Raineiri Ladies while also serving as head of opposition analysis of Gbagada FC in Nigeria’s third division.
