Rapper Aboriomoh Femi Raymond, popularly known as Dremo, has said his talent is not well appreciated by Nigerians.
In a recent interview with Echo Room, the former DMW star lamented that he is not being given his due recognition or accolades in the Nigerian music industry.
“I feel like I am so underrated. People don’t know what I can do in the studio. But it is okay, I like the underdog story. I feel like I am so underrated. Dem no rate me at all,” he said.
Dremo said he believes his genre, rap, also contributed to why he isn’t rated, stressing that most Nigerians don’t appreciate rap like other genres such as Afrobeats and pop.
The rapper also revealed that he didn’t meet his expectations of joining Davido Music Worldwide, DMW, before leaving the record label.
He stated that the management of the record label was only focus on the CEO, Davido, to the detriment of other artists on the label.
